The Air Jordan 9 came out when Michael Jordan was in retirement from basketball. Michael Jordan did demonstrate his baseball batting ability (such as it was) indoors while wearing this particular model of Air Jordan.

Ironically,
my favorite Air Jordan model, the Air Jordan 9, came out when Michael Jordan was in
his first retirement from basketball, in November 1993. They originally sold for $125. (Other people I knew agreed that these were great shoes.)

This is a version of the Air Jordan 9 Retro Low.

The Air Jordan 9 features a number of foreign words from multiple languages in the sole pattern.
