Converse All Star - Black and White

Up to 1966, the Converse "Chuck Taylor" All Star was available only in basic black and white. As it stands now, there are variations upon that theme.

Variations in Black

These are the variations in black:

• Black. (White laces, logo, foxing, and toe cap; natural metal eyelets.)
• Distressed Black. (White laces, logo, foxing, and toe cap; black laces; blackened eyelets.)
• Monochrome black. (Black laces, logo, foxing, and toe cap; blackened eyelets.)

Variations in White

There were also two variations to the basic white:

• Optical White. (Bleached cotton.)
• White. (Unbleached cotton, the Baby Boomer classic.)

Mixes of Black and White

Converse also has some grey models. Examples include:

• Charcoal. [July 2005]
• Flint Khaki.
• Goth (yellow trim).
• Grey. (with either Red or Blue Star)
• Grey Cliff. [July 1999 seasonal]
• Misty Grey. [February 1999 seasonal]
• Seagrass. [Spring 2001 seasonal]
• Urban Chic. [Fall 2000 seasonal]
