Conserve precious resources: use your old sneaker boxes for storing things!

A little known fact about computing: A Converse "Chuck Taylor" All Star box has the perfect form factor for storing data processing supplies, including DVDs, CD-ROMs, and QIC tapes. The boxes Teva sandals come in are about the same size.

Belarc has a great system analysis tool that's available free for personal use. They sell software auditing tools based on the same technology for production environments.
RoboMagic Software has some really slick shareware weather and clock-setting utilities for Microsoft Windows users.
